¶ It’s Cool to Be a Christian
It’s Cool to Be a Christian is not a slogan about fashion, status, or fitting in.
It is a plain way of saying that belonging to Jesus is the best life a person can have.
The world has its own idea of what is impressive. Scripture has another: to be in Christ, forgiven, alive, and not ashamed of the gospel.
The cool the world sells fades.
The joy of the Lord does not.
¶ Biblical Meaning & Role
People spend their lives chasing what looks strong, beautiful, free, and worth showing.
Jesus offered another way.
Jesus offered a better way.
Jesus offered a free gift.
He said
- the meek inherit the earth,
- the poor in spirit receive the kingdom, and
- whoever loses his life for His sake will find it.
Paul was not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation. He counted everything as loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus his Lord.
The early church was mocked, and they rejoiced that they were counted worthy to suffer for the Name. That is not the world’s cool. It is better.
A Christian is
- a child of God,
- a temple of the Spirit,
- a witness of the risen Lord, and
- an heir of a kingdom that cannot be shaken.
You do not have to pretend the faith is trendy to tell the truth:
- it is good to be saved,
- good to be clean,
- good to have a Master who loved you and gave Himself for you.
If the world calls that foolish, Scripture already said it would.

- What the world calls cool is often pride dressed as freedom.
- In Christ a person receives a name, a family, a future, and a joy the world cannot give.
- Shame of the gospel is a poor trade for the approval of people who are passing away.
- Holiness is not dull. It is life recovered from the dark.
- The church’s confidence is the worth of Christ, not the mood of the age.
- A quiet, faithful Christian life is more solid than a loud image.
- The last word on what was worth it will be spoken by the Lord, not by the crowd.

- Known by God – You are not a brand. You are a child, loved and named.
- Clean Conscience – Forgiveness is better than a polished reputation.
- Real Freedom – Sin promised liberty and paid in chains; Christ tells the truth and sets people free.
- Courage – Not ashamed of the Lord, His words, or His people.
- Joy – The fruit of the Spirit is not a pose. It is life from the inside.
- Belonging – A body, a table, a hope shared with the saints.
- A Future That Holds – The world is passing away; the one who does the will of God abides forever.
