Jesus did many signs and wonders that displayed the authority of the kingdom of God.
Under each topic the miracles are ordered by how many Gospels record them: four first, then three, then two, then one.
These are written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God.
¶ Authority over Nature and Provision
These signs show that wind, water, bread, and the created order answer to Jesus. The King provides and the storm obeys.

John says Jesus did many other signs that are not written in this book.
The signs are not a catalog of wonders for their own sake. They bear witness that the King is here, that the word of the kingdom is true, and that faith may take hold of Him.
These are written so that you may believe.
