The Victory of Christ is the complete triumph of Jesus over sin, death, the devil, and every power of darkness through His death, resurrection, and exaltation.
At the cross He disarmed the rulers and authorities, destroyed the one who has the power of death, and secured eternal redemption.
In the resurrection He conquered the grave; in the ascension He was seated far above every power.
This victory is already decisive and will be openly displayed when every enemy is put under His feet and the kingdom is delivered to the Father.
From the first promise of a Redeemer who would crush the serpent’s head to the final vision of the Lamb who conquers, Scripture is the story of Christ’s victory. On the cross Jesus bore sin, endured the curse, and through death destroyed the devil. He disarmed the rulers and authorities and put them to open shame, triumphing over them. The resurrection is the public declaration of that triumph: death could not hold Him. Ascended and seated at the right hand of God, He reigns until all His enemies are made a footstool for His feet. Believers share in this victory by union with Christ. They have been delivered from the domain of darkness, raised with Him, and seated with Him in the heavenly places. The same victory that is already secured is still being worked out in the present age through the church’s witness, and it will be fully manifested when Christ returns, judges the world, and makes all things new.

The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet, and the victory already won will be openly and finally displayed for all creation to see.
